About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and analytical VP of Sales to join our team to take on a wide range of responsibilities, from the daily activities of leading a remote sales team to managing large clients and achieving top line revenue growth. VP of Sales directs the sale of all the organization’s products or services on a worldwide basis. This position develops the company’s long-range sales strategy and forecasts sales volumes for the entire organization. The VP of Sales has a critical impact on the company’s success by overseeing all channels used to deliver product to market. 

Successful candidates must have a strong record of closing high-profile deals. This role will use forecasting to develop sales strategies and help carry our company into the future. While candidates with an MBA are preferred, we will consider individuals with a bachelor's degree if they have proven experience leading sales teams

The VP of Sales should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of their market and competitive products. This position will work with leaders across the organization to establish metrics and achieve goals. Essential leadership responsibilities include hiring, developing members of the company's talent pool as well as training them on various techniques that are needed to reach KPIs (key performance indicators).

What You Will Be Doing
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be responsible for the following activities:
  • Manage sales teams and maintain sales operations
  • Promote company products and services
  • Develop and drive plans, key sales strategies, and initiatives
  • Outline and manage sales budgets
  • Improve customer satisfaction and retention by anticipating consumer needs
  • Analyze and identify improvement areas and opportunities
  • Lead strategic account planning
  • Set quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Motivate the sales teams to achieve their goals
  • Monitor the market and competitor products and activities
  • Provide detailed sales forecasting
  • Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs and improve customer satisfaction

What You Must Have
  • Proven successful work experience leading a sales organization in tech
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinker, and problem solver with the ability to be hands-on
  • Professional experience with high-profiles sales
  • Prior experience and strong track record of success in building, scaling, and leading high performing sales teams
  • Experience with CRM software and other applicable technology solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products, and the market
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Great strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or an industry-relevant field
  • Master’s degree in a business-related field is preferred

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Position will be performed remotely, supporting PST and EST time zones and involves frequent travel
  • Sitting at desk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, speak, and write English
  • Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone and computer printer
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
